Mitre 10 Mega Wanaka
Mitre 10 needs no introduction as New Zealand’s one stop DIY shop! We absolutely love them for their gardening and home improvement heaven … and as you can see below, their BBQs!
During the February 2022 race, our Race Secretary (and DIY enthusiast) was racing back from Lake Hawea to the finish line at Wanaka … she looked at that beautiful orange beacon that signals to tired athletes they’ve finally made it back to the finish line in Wanaka and said to our Race Director … how can we not have a way point there! So, we contacted Mitre 10 Mega Wanaka and to our delight they immediately got on board and offered to gift an amazing portable BBQ to the first athlete to the Mitre 10 2023 waypoint! Thank you Mitre 10!
We are looking forward to seeing some crazy selfies from our athletes when they head to Mitre 10 Mega Wanaka to nab this waypoint … some of them might also have to resist a strong temptation to take a break from racing to go shopping!

Bike Glendhu
Covering 10,000 hectares of beautiful country, Bike Glendhu is for riders of all skill levels – newbies, XC bikers, Enduro fiends, and downhillers are all set to have a great time. Bike Glendhu have bikes for rent and a team to work on guest bikes, as well as Velo cafe which offers delicious pre- and post-ride food and drink. We are delighted that Bike Glendhu have come on board this year to offer a couple of trail passes to one lucky athlete! Thank you Bike Glendhu!
Puzzling World
Back for the second year in a row, we are delighted that the iconic Puzzling World is again offering passes to one fortunate athlete! You can test just how good those hike and fly orienteering skills are in the world’s first multi-level ‘Mega Maze’ and explore the hilarity of the illusion room where water flows uphill and you can watch your mate (and yourself!) shrink and expand!
